As long at you don't think you are buying a functioning guitar this thing is fine. It is a cute little thing (paint job is so so). My daughters like to goof around with it. The strings are more or less real strings, but the tuning pegs don't stay put so the strings don't stay tight enough to sound even remotely musical. Want a toy - go for it. Want an instrument - go elsewhere.
