About me... I've been playing, off and on, since the early 90s. This is my 5th or 6th guitar, and my 2nd Seagull. Call me an advanced beginner. :)
Aesthetically, this is an understated instrument, not flashy or florid. It has one strange feature which is the SWS sticker on the headstock, but that would probably come off with some work. The gloss finish may or may not be to your liking (I usually prefer satin) but the quality is very good and it shows off the wood nicely. The wood on mine is beautiful in a plain way. Don't expect a lot of flash but the quality is consistently good.
Personally, I think the guitar sounds fantastic when played unamplified. Slightly different than a dreadnought, in a good way. I'm not really an expert on what a $700, $1000, or $1500 guitar should sound like but I am very pleased with the sound of this guitar and think I got my money's worth.
Playability is good. The instrument was set up correctly out of the box,...Read more

I shopped guitars in the $1000 - $1600 price range for months, and the SWS mini-jumbo is better than most. It really can't be beat for this price, especially since I bought it on sale through Amazon. The sound is full and mellow, and the short scale, thin neck and 1.8" nut width make it a joy to play. It sounds great strummed, picked, acoustically or plugged in.

New to guitar playing, but this guitar is beautiful. The sound is incretable. My fingers are the only problem. They're to big for the fretboard. Now, I bought this guitar June 3rd,2010 on the 6 month plan for $799.00. Now, this same guitar has been discounted from $799. to $546.55. Thats $252.45. Amazon will not credit my account even though, I'm still within the 6 month pay period. Amazon said they're was about a 30 day time frame for something like that. Well I consider this BAD Business. So MY BUSINESS will be done elsewhere......Garrett
