The Seagull Entourage is based upon the S6 Original Slim. It features beautiful new "plumage" in the form of a new Rustic Burst, custom polished finish. This finish not only protects the guitar but never impedes the sound of the instrument allowing it to age properly and sound better the more it's played overtime.
Along with the new Integrated Set Neck system, for increased stability while reducing warping and twisting due to climate changes, the Entourage guitar also feature Select Pressure Tested Solid Tops. Testing the tops in this way ensures the highest levels of stiffness and rigidity along with optimal harmonic vibration. Other features include a Seagull Slim Neck with a 1.72" nut, great for players more accustomed to a traditional nut width, a new arched rosette adding structural integrity to the area around the sound-hole, along with cream double binding, Tusq nut and fully compensated saddle to complete the finishing touches.

I've owned Fender telecasters and stratocasters made in the USA and Japan, a midrange Martin acoustic, a vintage Epiphone acoustic, several Gibson Hollowbodies and a Les Paul as well as other guitars and instruments. This is one of the finest instruments I think I have ever played. Sure you can pick up an instrument at many times the price and find something that sounds as good and perhaps better for your taste. But this instrument just sounds good at any price. If you buy this you can't go wrong, it can be the last acoustic you have to buy as you will not outgrow it. Of course there are other sounds to be had, parlor guitars simply sound different and you may want that sound. But what I like about this guitar is its voice 'speaks' with authority, very clearly and cleanly, it is very responsive, and it does not have a flabby bass as many dreadnought guitars have. The guitar is actually much more beautiful than the photo would...Read more 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Seagull Entourage Rustic Guitar (Electronics) Played this and many other more famous brands. To my ears this guitar has a better tone than guitars at three times the price. Don't hesitate to get this. The finish is really nice as well. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Seagull Entourage Rustic Guitar (Electronics) I recently started playing, and after much research, I chose this instrument for the relatively low cost and universally great reviews. My teacher thinks the sound is wonderful and in his words "comparable to much more expensive guitars." The instrument is physically gorgeous, and sounds great even when I play it. In the hands of an accomplished player it sounds phenomenal. I love this guitar, and cannot recommend highly enough. |
