Product Description
The Seagull Artist Mosaic Guitar
The Mosaic is a Solid cedar top guitar with mahogany back and sides. The cedar mahogany combination typically produces a sweet sound. The Custom Polished finish further enhances the sweet sound of this combination. This model excels in more intimate musical settings.
The Seagull Artist Series
The new compound curve top concept was originally developed for the Seagull Artist Series guitars and it is in these models that the new design really proves itself. The Artist Series luthiers choose from the very best of a stockpile that includes over a hundred thousand, luthier-grade, solid cedar and spruce boards. In fact, all of the tone woods for the Artist Series are hand-selected to ensure that the very highest standards are met. The scalloped bracing is designed to such precise tolerances that it requires a CNC milling machine to carve the individual pieces to the exact specifications. The finished instruments speak with incredible clarity and character—and that’s before they open up! These guitars develop an even deeper character when ‘played-in’ and will no doubt become lifelong companions to those who choose them.
More About Seagull Guitars
The Seagull story wouldn't be complete without mentioning La Patrie. La Patrie is a small village in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. This is where the first Seagulls were made in the early eighties. Today, La Patrie has a population of about 475 and about half of these people are guitar builders. These folks take a great deal of pride in the guitars they build.

My husband purchased this guitar for our 32 wedding anniversay so needless to say I am an older user. I was attached to a Yamaha entry level guitar that was 30 years old (my husband got it at a pawn shop when my first child was born) that sounded much better than very expensive guitars I had played until I met my seagull. I am not being unfaithful to my Yamaha but I just recently started guitar lessons and my Yamaha's bowed neck was to much for an old lady to muscle around. The seagull is a different story. I am amazed at how easy bar chords can be, how fast I can practice my scales but most of all the harmonics. My seagull has a personality of her own and I love it. She is beautiful too. The closer you look, the more beautiful she becomes. Just as I will pass down my entry level Yamaha to a grandchild my seagull will get even sweeter with age and it will be a family heirloom.
So if you want a guitar thats comforts the soul when picked and can make the grandkids dance to...Read more

I have owned my Seagull Artist Mosaic for 5 years now and I really cannot believe that she has become richer and sweeter sounding with each year. I fell in love with the sound 7 years ago when I heard Peppino D'Agostino play his at a workshop I was at. He let me try his (a complete beginner at the time) and the feel in my hands was like it always belonged there. I love this guitar, and each time I touch it, I want to play it better and more often. You will keep this one.
