This toy is probably the worst we've ever owned simply because its a guitar but the strings are so loose we can't play it. In the first second my child opened it a string broke, but then when we tried to tighten the others it wasn't possible, we tried screwing the knob and a screwdriver. This thing is just a huge piece of junk - don't waste your money like we did.
Happy after communication,

I purchased this guitar for my granddaughter. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the item. A very nice toy guitar for the price. Upon actually using it I experienced the problems that many of the reviews have had. The strings would not tighten and stay tightened. I was upset that it was useless as a guitar even for a child. I thought why produce a guitar that looks so good that is garbage as a guitar. I wrote an email to schylling and received a quick response telling me it is a child's guitar (###;-{##)
But some times the small screws on the back of the tuning handles do not get tightened at the factory. If the screws are not tight the adjustment will not work properly. I tried it and it's true. The guitar works beautifully (for a child's guitar which I realized that I purchased). Time will tell how often they will need to be righted if ever but for now I am a happy grandmother. watch out I have a budding star on my hands...Read more

This guitar looked cute online but one of the strings broke the first day and then we had to go out and buy new strings which were impossible to put on this guitar. If you want a guitar for your child spend a little more and get a better one. This is a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere on a guitar that they can actually play!
