I thought I should comment here since I've actually played the guitar for a few weeks, and it's still wonderful. Holds a tune wonderfully, comes with the Martin strings which sound great, and as a starter guitar you can't get anything better. So it's not a name brand; who cares! All that matters is the sound quality, and I couldn't be happier with that. 47 of 48 people found the following review helpful: By S. Hsia (Irvine, CA USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Rogue RA-100D Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Natural For $60, all I can say is Wow.
I think the best part was taking the guitar out of its box. The smell of its new paint and glossy finish made me smile. This has everything one can want out of a starter or traveling guitar. In addition to the specifications and features listed in the product description above, the guitar looks nice and holds its tune very well. When you put it in your lap you can tell that the guitar was built well and is pretty sturdy. I actually have no quibbles with it (considering it was only $60). I was debating whether to buy this Rogue or the Washburn D100, but after reading the reviews and ratings at Musicians Friend, the two are basically ranked the same despite their $40 difference and brand name reputation. You honestly can't go wrong with either one, but if you want to save $40, go with the Rogue. 28 of 28 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Rogue RA-100D Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Natural My sister told me a few months ago that she bought a cheap Rogue acoustic off amazon.com for $50. She told me that it was labelled as a really nice guitar and definitely well well well worth it for the price. I couldn't agree with her more. This guitar kicks ass for its price! It sounds realy good and sounds better than my more expensive acoustic guitars that I have at home (Yamaha C-340 and C-210)... all I have to say is that if you want a great sounding guitar for a steal, grab this guitar, you won't regret it. I played the black one but I'm sure the tone is the same on this one as well. |
