Product Description
Preferred by many stage performers and amplified acoustic guitarists, ovation’s super-shallow composite body feels similar to an electric, yet it retains all the benefits and acoustic properties of our proven roundback design. a spruce top and matched lightweight bracing give this celebrity a clear amplified tone with plenty of headroom before feedback on stage. the guitar’s center soundhole offers a traditional look, and its slim neck has an electric-style profile, 20 hand-finished nickel-silver frets, and low factory-set action. a cutaway insures easy access to the entire fretboard. with its 3-band equalizer and onboard tuner, the instrument’s op-4bt preamp provides players with flexible tone control in any performance setting.

i picked up this inexpensive acoustic/electric for playing at worship. I've owned electric acoustic guitars in the past and was very excited to find a slim roundback guitar that has good, reliable and consistent sound. It sounds good with or without the amp. The strings that came with it were a bit 'horsey' so I replaced them with lighter/brighter strings. It's quick to tune and holds tune well in inclimate weather.
After three months, I decided that I like it enough to get rid of my electric guitar altogether. I'll probably upgrade to a more expensive version from Ovation -- I like it so much, I'm kind of wishing I had bought one of the upper-end models now.

I am very pleased with this guitar. It has the quality, tone and projection of a much more expensive guitar. I plan to play it primarily unplugged so I replaced the factory strings with D'Addario lights which have a tone that I prefer and a longer life than the many other brands I've tried. I've heard some complaints of the action being to heavy out of the box but I didn't find that to be a problem with mine.It played great without any tweaking. I've owned and played alot of guitars and in my opinion you would be hard pressed to find better in the $500.00 or less range.
