I tried a new one, my used one plays as good or better than the new one and I paid $60 bucks for it. They come up on craigslist often, so they are not hard to find. You will have to polish the frets and may need to adjust the neck a little to make it play without buzz. I filed the underside of the saddle in the bridge to bring the strings a bit closer after polishing the frets and had to turn the truss bar nut a quarter turn. The strap nub is pretty cheaply made, but what do you expect for a low end guitar. has the best sound and body for a guitar of this price range. Even has the pearl inlay which if you are into that thing looks good.
Here and there, there are some minor blemishes (the pick guard wasn't put on perfectly around the hole, some of the laquer on the side of the neck is thicker than in other areas, some of the frets have slight oxidation, and the neck is not the cleanest of woods) but seriously, what can you expect out of a...Read more 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Mitchell MD100 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Natural I tried this guitar among others at Guitar Center.
It is very good. Above all, it has loud and deep tone. It reminds me of the Yamaha FG700s. |
