My wife finally wanted to learn guitar, but none of mine were quite right. Having the right fit and emotional attachment to an instrument is a critical motivator for a beginner. This guitar has a full scale, but has a smaller radius neck. The fit of the neck and finish of the fretboard was very good. No overhanging/sharp frets. There are nice overtones and it has surprising resonance for being a ply top. The flame finish is sprayed on and there is some overspray, but at this price one can't be too picky.
A great player, and my wife is improving rapidly. Highly recommended.

I have been playing guitar for most of my life. I have toured professionally for many years and have played many acoustic guitars. My main instrument is a 1949 Martin 00-18. I wanted a guitar to live in my home demo studio. I took a chance on this low price guitar and I couldn't be happier. This isn't just a "beginner" guitar. The intonation is perfect, the action is nice and the sound is astounding for such an inexpensive instrument. The tuning pegs are solid, I like the look of the bridge, and the playability is excellent. It doesn't compare to my Martin but it comes a lot closer than it has any right to. I would highly recommend this guitar or the "spalt" version to anyone who wants a seriously good acoustic guitar but doesn't want to spend too much money. I'm giving it 5 stars based on value for price.
