Luna Fauna Guitar, Dolphin Tranz Blue/Quilted Maple

After many years, I was looking to replace an older guitar. One that had been refretted twice, and rather than a third time, I thought I was ready for a new (extra) guitar. I looked at all kinds of instruments, and read a ton of reviews. One consideration was color, since, I had always wanted a blue guitar, though that was a secondary thought. I still wanted a quality and well sounding guitar.

Eventually I settled on this one by Luna. I am very pleased with it. The sound is bright, consistant, the fret board easy to play. The finish is absolutely fantastic. I was worried there might be some blemishes or uneveness to the instrument's finish and construction (blue can make any unpleasant nick or scratch stand out), but I looked it over carefully from top to bottom, it's perfect. Amazing craftsmanship.

Gorgeous guitar, a nice sound, and a really great size for a small-ish woman. At this price, a fabulous gift for the beginner guitarist. Gave it four stars because the B-Band tuner doesn't work at all, but tuners are easy to come by, so I'm keeping it. Don't know if the pre-amp works, but I only plan to play acoustically so that won't make a difference to me either. I really bought it because it's so beautiful - the fact that it plays well is a bonus.
