I sometimes breng it to other places for rehearsal or performance. It's never dissapointed me so far. To my surprise, it still looks new eventhough I play it a lot and my 4 years old son hit it accidentally a couple of time. I got 3 other guitars, but I played this one more often than the others. Don't compare with the sound of the full body guitars. Ofcourse this one sounds weaker because of this size. I installed an EQ preamp pickup for thin body guitar, and it sounds full and loud plugged. People are always amazed to hear the sound through the amplifier. They always ask me is it an ukulele ? Why it sounds like a guitar ? 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: Johnson Travel Guitar (Electronics) This is a good guitar if you play acoustic. Bad advice according to a local luthier (I know, should asked him before.) I shipped the guitar back and "DC Music" refunded me 70% citing some obscure credit card and other fees. In the end I was almost $50 out-of-pocket (bear in mind I ruined a nice set of classical strings and paid to ship it back.) And I didn't get the refund in several weeks because the owner is the only person that can authorize it and whenever I called I...Read more 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Johnson Travel Guitar (Electronics) The Johnson Travel Guitar is actually pretty nicely put together for an inexpensive guitar. Chinese-made (surprise, what isn't these days) but decent fit, finish and intonnation. Due to the small soundbox, it's quite quiet, but action is good. |
