This review is from: Johnson JG-TR6 Travel Guitar with Bag (Electronics) After trying a few travel guitars I settled on this one. First I tried the Washburn Rover. It was the best in playability and sound, except the smell of the paint was atrocious. You'll see many reviews complaining of this, I really don't know what they put in that stuff. Next was the Martin Backpacker. This was good in the sound department but the neck was like a thick end of a baseball bat. I've never had a problem with guitar necks, I play a les paul, too, which is at the thicker end of guitar necks, and the Martin's neck still felt Huge. So I settled on this Johnson. Frankly, there's nothing to really rave about. The sound is ok, much softer and not as nice as the other two. The tuners aren't that great and needs to be tuned slightly every few days. The playability is good, not as good as the Rover but way better than the Martin. So basically this one wins only because it doesn't smell like poison and doesn't have a tree trunk of a neck.
