Received guitar quickly (thanks to Prime) but there are some serious QC issues with this guitar including: headstock painted black, black paint smears on fretboard, poor intonation. It's a Christmas gift for my daughter who is taking lessons, so I will probably give it to her then send it off for a return/replacement, or if the next one is in similar shape, another brand. Disappointed :(
Pretty with severe problems,

I ordered this guitar to use as a beater because of the mostly positive reviews, and the Quilted Ash finish.
The first impression that this guitar makes when you unpack it is, "This thing is beautiful." The Quilted Ash finish on the back and sides is stunning, but the quality control on the one that I ordered online, however, was severely lacking. The Quilted Ash Veneer on the back was coming unglued (a space of approx 2 inches). One of the internal braces had come unglued, or was never glued in the first place, and was rattling around inside the guitar.
After tuning it up, the action was much lower than expected, but, horrible string buzz was prevalent on almost all strings, about halfway up the neck, even when the guitar was strummed very lightly. I checked the neck with an 18 inch ruler and discovered that it was severely back bowed. Adjusting the truss rod (with the supplied wrench) helped this
to some extent, but didn't straighten the neck...Read more

I got one of these with the ash quilting, I was very impressed with the overall look of the guitars decorative ash quilting on the back and sides. It's the first time I have ever seen a guitar with such a beautiful grain, it shimmers like gold flake under the light and is just beautiful. However, the back and sides are not solid ash wood, "quilting" is just another term for veneer. More than likely the QA model guitar is actually a standard S35 Nato body guitar overlaid with this ash quilting to exemplify the looks of the S35QA. The wood on the inside of the S35QA does not reflect the quality of the wood on the outside of the guitar. But for a guitar around the $100.00 price range you can't go wrong with the S35 Series, especially if your a beginner.
When I got this guitar new in the box I noticed some problems right away but that's nothing new, and nothing serious if you know what your doing, if you don't know what your doing, seek the advice of a professional who does...Read more
