After struggling with various types of strings, I am really happy finding these. Nice bright sound and easy for my small hands to play. A bit expensive, but I'd buy them again.

I play an inexpensive acoustic that I bought for $100, but the strings were too hard to press down so I decided to try Silk & Steel strings. They are definitely easier to play, and they have a nice sound too! Later on, I did some set up work on the guitar and now it's even easier to play, but I think I'll keep getting Silk & Steel strings, since I like their rich, mellow sound. If you need pure volume, however, go with regular strings.
