Flat Back Beginner Acoustic Mandolin W/ Bag Natural Finish

My son is in a band and plays bass guitar. He likes to try different instruments and add their sounds to the bands CD's that they create. He had mentioned an interest in a mandolin. I decided to get one that would give him the sound he liked without the high cost of more professional ones in order to see if he would be interested in playing it once he tried it. He had a great time learning the different fingering on it! It definitely is something that he enjoys. In the future we can see about getting him a better quality one. For beginners it is great! It is a smaller sized one but has a good sound. I would also recommend getting an instructional book to help learn fingering!

Received the mandolin in the mail only to find that the strings were completely loose and that the bridge had been floating around during shipping and was totally torn up. Otherwise, the mandolin looked just fine and not too cheaply made. The only problem was the flimsy, little piece of wood that was the bridge.
Would only recommend to a beginner who is willing to take a risk on a relatively small amount of money to get something to practice on.
