This review is from: Breedlove Passport N200/CMP Guitar (Electronics) For the price that I paid (25% off) this is a great guitar. The quality of the satin finish feels like a $400-$500 instrument. Nice tuners, nice sound, and nearly the depth of a standard dreadnought. I added pickups and it sounds wonderful. The nylon strings are much easier on my fingers than steel string guitars, and the smaller hybrid neck and fretboard are great for non-classical guitar players. I'm happy I tried this brand and type of guitar. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Breedlove Passport N200/CMP Guitar (Electronics) I purchased the 250/CMP as a backup/picnic/something to play when my fingers are too sore from playing steel. The fit, finish, and design of this instrument is outstanding. The setup is spot on with a low action and precise intonation. I was motivated to pick this particular guitar after pruchasing a 250/SRe. The sound and quality of that one is impressive so I was less concerned about buying such an inexpensive guitar sight unseen. My impression of Breedlove in general is that they are a step above the manufacturers in the same price range. The 200/CMP is solidly built and is what I reach for when headed for family gatherings, the skate park, or any other high risk location. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Breedlove Passport N200/CMP Guitar (Electronics) This wonderful guitar solves many problems. First, for a beginner it serves as a very fine starter with small investment. Also, nylon strings are easy on the fingers. The play ability is first rate and intonation excellent as well as the neck being perfectly straight - it is adjustable! Comes with the nice Breedlove gig bag. Altogether very well made and quite attractive. I'm simply amazed. It's light on the low end as might be expected, but otherwise sounds very good altogether. If this model catches on it could impact the beginners out there that struggle with tender fingers and crappy uninspiring first guitars. Go buy a few and spread the good news. Talk about the perfect beater! |
