This review is from: Alvarez RD210 Regent Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with Hard Case (Electronics) I bought this guitar with the cutaway and electronics (RD210CE) last year, but due to some troubling events, I had to part with it. That guitar sounded great, especially with the right strings. THIS guitar, however, sounds exponentially better. With no cutaway or electronics, it has more space for resonance and the tone is phenomenal. The woods are gorgeous, also. In a few months, the top wood will fade to more of a warm yellowy color and it makes the guitar look fantastic. At half the price of the RD210CE, and sounding twice as good (Almost as good as my Martin, the love of my life), this guitar is worth at least six hundred dollars, and to get it for two hundred is a steal. Take advantage of it. This guitar is perfect for any level of player. Enjoy! -Robert This review is from: Alvarez RD210 Regent Series Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar with Hard Case (Electronics) I bought one of these on an impulse buy at a local music store because it had particularly nice looking wood on the top and I somehow did not have a dreadnought. I have a number of guitars ranging from a couple hundred to a thousand bucks. This one is an amazing value for $200. Many people seem to prefer the glossy finish of most guitars, but I hate it. Gloss keeps your guitar from looking scratched up and stained. My advice, first quit hitting people with it and pouring beer on it. Second, who cares what it looks like, it should sound good. I have a beautiful Washburn that cost me twice what this did, but does not sound as good due to the evil gloss. Bottom line, this is a great guitar for the price and would be one I'd buy for an aspiring player. Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This guitar is beautiful and sounds fantastic. The fact that it came with a case was a bonus. I expected a cheap "gig bag" kind of case that would fall apart in a few weeks. Not this case. It's not bullet proof, but it's sturdy enough to toss in the trunk or back seat without worrying about the guitar. I would expect to pay $350 for this in a music store. |
